With 24TB of capacity, 7200 RPM rotational speed, 512MB cache, and a SATA 6Gb/s interface, the HC590 is built for demanding storage environments where capacity, reliability, and consistent performance are essential.
The HC590 utilizes CMR (Conventional Magnetic Recording) technology, making it well suited for RAID arrays, servers, NAS systems, backup repositories, media libraries, data archives, and other applications where predictable HDD performance is important.
Western Digital's 11-disk CMR platform increases storage density without increasing the physical footprint of the drive. Combined with a helium-sealed design, the HC590 provides 24TB of capacity while retaining the standard 3.5-inch enterprise HDD form factor.
With sustained transfer rates of up to approximately 287 MB/s, the HC590 is optimized for large sequential workloads such as backup, archival, media, surveillance, and high-capacity file storage.
The 0F65684 is the 24TB SATA Secure Erase (SE) model. It provides secure erase functionality and is different from the 24TB SATA TCG/self-encrypting model, 0F65642.
